Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Jake Odorizzi from the 10-day Injured List. The 2019 American League All-Star missed the Twins last six games due to a right middle finger blister. In 17 starts this season, Odorizzi has gone 10-4 with a 3.15 ERA (88.2 IP, 31 ER), 30 walks and 96 strikeouts.

To make room on the 25-man roster, the Twins have designated left-handed pitcher Adalberto Mejía for release or assignment. Mejía, who was acquired by the Twins via trade with San Francisco in 2016, appeared in 13 games for the Twins this season, going 0-2 with an 8.80 ERA (15.1 IP, 15 ER), 12 walks and 15 strikeouts.
