MINNEAPOLIS – Following today’s game at Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox optioned outfielder Ryan Cordell to Class AAA Charlotte.

Cordell, 26, is batting .227 (44-194) with seven doubles, six home runs, 20 RBI and 18 runs scored over 81 games this season.

The White Sox will make a corresponding move prior to tomorrow night’s series opener at home vs. Texas.
