As part of the upcoming International series being played on April 13 and 14 in Monterrey, Mexico, the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals will be hosting over 300 children from Back2Back Ministries operations in Monterrey.

Back2Back Ministries is a Cincinnati-based international non-profit organization that is dedicated to being a voice for orphans and vulnerable children around the world.

Over 20,000 Cincinnatians have participated in short-term mission trips to Monterrey, Mexico, since its inception in 1997.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have our hometown Reds travel to Monterrey and be introduced to some of the orphaned and vulnerable children who have captured our hearts, “said Beth Guckenberger, Co-Executive Director of Back2Back Ministries.

During the International Series games in Monterrey, over 200 of the children from Back2Back Monterrey will attend the games at the Estadio de Béisbol Monterrey and receive tickets, food and transportation compliments of the Reds, Cardinals and Major League Baseball.

One hundred of the children will participate in an MLB “Play Ball” clinic on Saturday, April 13 at 9 a.m. at the ballpark, with mascots Mr. Redlegs, Rosie Red plus Fredbird from the Cardinals visiting the kids.
