Twins acquire David Banuelos from Seattle for international bonus pool money

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have acquired catcher David Banuelos from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for $1,000,000 in international bonus pool cap space.

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have acquired catcher David Banuelos from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for $1,000,000 in international bonus pool cap space.
Banuelos, 21, made is professional baseball debut with the Single-A Everett AquaSox in 2017 hitting .236 (30-for-127) with eight doubles, four home runs and 26 RBI in 36 games. Banuelos, who was drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft out of Long Beach State University, was named to the Northwest League Midseason All-Star Team and also earned Northwest League Player of the Week honors at the end of July.
