Play Ball! Minnesota Ambassador

Play Ball! Minnesota Ambassador Brian Raabe has had a very accomplished baseball career as a player, instructor and coach. His success as a player was a result of dedication, hard work and overcoming adversity.

As an undersized player from New Ulm, Minnesota, Raabe shined at the University of Minnesota where he was a four-time letterwinner and All-Big Ten and All-America honoree. Following the University of Minnesota, Raabe began a professional career, playing for the Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies, Seattle Mariners and Seibu Lions of the Japanese Pacific League. Raabe was a six-time Minor League All-Star and batting champion.

However, it is Raabe's success as a leader, mentor, instructor and coach that makes him the Play Ball! Minnesota Ambassador.

Raabe has been a key figure in youth baseball for a number of years. He has been a head coach at the youth, high school and collegiate levels. He has helped shape a baseball association from teaching coaches to leading an administration. Raabe has great experience and insight to help promote and improve youth baseball and softball.
