More Than $300,000 Raised at Kyle Schwarber’s Block Party

September 13, 2023

After the game on Sunday, September 10, slugger Kyle Schwarber hosted Schwarber’s Block Party at Yards Brewing Company, his first big charity event as a Phillie. The goal of the event was to thank and support local first responders for all their hard work, sacrifices and bravery.

Among those attending the sold-out event were members of the Phillies family, including players, coaches and broadcasters, as well as hundreds of fans. Also taking part were the left fielder’s parents and sister, all of whom are first responders.

Highlights also included live music and delicious food, a live and silent auction, and the chance to take photos at a puppy kissing booth with foster dogs.

More than $300,000 was raised for the cause, with 100% of the funds benefitting organizations serving Philadelphia area first responders, including the Philadelphia Police Foundation, Philadelphia Fire Department Foundation, Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation, TAPS and Team Foster.

Kyle started the Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes initiative with his wife Paige to assist first responder families and make a positive impact on their lives. His incredible support for first responders is also one of the many reasons why he is the Phillies’ 2023 nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award.
