Phanta Claus and Special Guests Deliver Hundreds of Toys to Children at South Philly’s Ford PAL Center
It was a Phillies holiday surprise for Police Athletic League (PAL) children! On Thursday, December 7, Phanta Claus and special guests helped PAL officers deliver hundreds of toys to children at Ford PAL Center’s holiday party in South Philadelphia.
Special guests included Phillies Executive Vice President Dave Buck, 1993 National League Champions Mickey Morandini and Milt Thompson, the Phillies Ballgirls, and Phillies ambassador Scott Palmer, who hosted the festivities. There was even a surprise visit from Santa Claus himself!
Many of the toys delivered were donated by fans during the team’s Christmas in July Toy Drive held earlier this year at Citizens Bank Park.
2023 marks the 18th year the Phillies have adopted the Ford PAL Center to support the programs’ efforts in helping local children in need. Phillies Charities, Inc. has provided $35,000 to officially adopt the Ford PAL Center again this year.
This event was part of the Phillies Season of Giving presented by SEI®, a month-long initiative to pay it forward and celebrate the holiday season with various charitable events.
