Mural Arts Philadelphia, the nation’s largest public arts program, along with the City of Philadelphia and the Phillies, are in the process of creating a new mural in honor of Phillies great Dick Allen.
To help create the mural, fans attending the Phillies’ Grapefruit League game on Thursday, March 21 at BayCare Ballpark were invited to paint the parachute cloth alongside artist Ernel Martinez.
The mural, created to honor Allen’s life and legacy, will be formally dedicated at a community celebration later this spring.
