The Phillies are excited to celebrate MLB’s PLAY BALL Weekend with several community events being held while the team is on the road.
The lineup includes a Nike RBI Youth Baseball and Softball Clinic on Friday, June 14, in Camden, NJ, featuring Phillies Ballgirls and 1993 NL champion and 2008 World Series champion coach Milt Thompson and 1980’s World Series champion pitcher Dickie Noles.
Then on Saturday, June 15, it will be a jam-packed day at the Phillies MLB Urban Youth Academy at FDR Park in Philadelphia, as the Phillies Youth Baseball and Softball Development staff host an MLB Pitch, Hit & Run contest for softball and baseball players 7-14 years of age, a PLAY BALL Youth Baseball Clinic at the newly-named Dick Allen Field with Phillies alumni Dickie Noles, Milt Thompson, Mickey Morandini and USA Women’s Baseball national team member Denae Benites, and a Youth Softball Clinic with the Phillies Ballgirls.
The weekend concludes on Sunday, June 16, with the Phillies hosting an afternoon Brewerytown Nike Jr. RBI Youth Baseball and Softball Clinic in Philadelphia, along with several Phillies Home Run Derby events.
