Major League Baseball will provide all volunteers with commemorative attire which includes a polo shirt, cap, and drawstring backpack.
PLAY BALL PARK
PLAY BALL PARK, which takes place July 5-9 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, is the largest indoor/outdoor baseball interactive theme park in the world. With over 40 attractions and 600,000 square feet of baseball fun, unpaid volunteers will participate throughout the fan experiences. Some of the opportunities include:
- Baseball/Softball Pitching and Batting Cages
- Legends Autograph Stages
- Worlds Largest Baseball
- Indoor and Outdoor fields
- Performance Training Area
- Make your own trading card
As an unpaid volunteer at PLAY BALL PARK, you will help create the fan experience of the show. Certain opportunities for this event may require extended time standing, but we will accommodate any request to help make the experience memorable. To become a volunteer for PLAY BALL PARK, you will be asked to volunteer for three (3) opportunities throughout the five-day event. As a volunteer you will be able to attend PLAY BALL PARK during show hours at no charge when you are not scheduled to volunteer.
Major League Baseball Transportation
As a transportation volunteer you will welcome Major League Baseball Guests, VIPs and staff to events throughout the city. Volunteers will not be drivers, but will be present at the transportation pick up/drop off locations and welcome guests to their final destinations.
MLB Pre-Game Ceremonial Rehearsals
Major League Baseball and the Cleveland Indians need help preparing for the on-field pre-game ceremonies for the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. Volunteers will be asked to help with the timings and the field visuals. Volunteers will be stand-ins for players participating in the game. This opportunity allows volunteers to be their favorite All-Star and stand in the same spot the MLB All-Stars will prior to the game. This role is days prior to the game and will not require volunteers for the All-Star Game or Home Run Derby.
