CASE Study Program

CASE stands for Careers As Sports Executives. The CASE Study Program is a sports executive study program for high school sophomores and juniors who are interested in sports – and perhaps careers in sports – but who would otherwise not have the opportunity to get the training, experience and tutelage to pursue entry-level jobs in sports.

Like you, we’re passionate about sports, as a pastime and a profession. Its power is undeniable. Sport has the unique ability to unite, inspire and instill valuable lessons that extend far beyond the field, court or rink. The CASE Study Program will help students build professional sports knowledge and network by providing relevant instruction and actionable insights. Together, we’ll explore all the sports industry has to offer as students consider pursuing their passion as a career.

Program Overview

As a result of COVID-19 and the current environment, we are transitioning CASE to a digital format.

Over the course of six weeks, CASE students will experience a multimedia curriculum delivered virtually over 12 sessions. Sessions will be led by subject matter experts within the sports industry, as well as guest lecturers. From “Digging into the Data” and “Sport for Social Good” to “Building a Brand” and “The Power of Negotiation”, we’re excited to tackle a range of topics that will help students navigate the sports industry and their personal and professional development. Like any good student of the game, instructors are also eager to learn from students and address their questions.

The CASE Program formally culminates with student-led group presentations based on a pre-selected area of interest. Students will work alongside their cohort, program coordinators and instructors to finalize presentations. Upon completion of the six-week program, students are also paired with a liaison within the sports industry for a check-in process designed to deepen their understanding of the sports industry and to grow their professional network.
