As part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the Chicago Cubs as a National League Franchise, Cubs Charities is now accepting nominations for the first-ever Cubs Charities Community Awards presented by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation. The awards provide Cubs fans the chance to nominate and vote for their favorite, most impactful nonprofit organization in Chicago for an opportunity to win a grant from Cubs Charities.
In 2026, the Cubs Charities Community Awards will focus on organizations that are addressing and improving youth development through baseball, softball and/or education programming.
At the conclusion of the nomination period, Cubs Charities and McCormick Foundation will determine 30 finalists and then give Cubs fans the opportunity to vote among the finalists, and the fifteen (15) finalists receiving the most votes will be selected as winners. Cubs Charities will then recommend for grants of $10,000 to be awarded to those winning nonprofits by the McCormick Foundation's Cubs Charities Community Fund. Winners will be recognized before a Cubs game at Wrigley Field this September.
