A day in the life of a Chase Field usher

After spending 35 years in education and coaching, Frank Campos retired and decided it was time for a fun gig. So when he was given the chance to become an usher at Chase Field, the lifelong baseball fan jumped at it.

Campos has worked D-backs games for seven years now, helping fans around the ballpark.

“If you love baseball, you gotta love coming to work here,” Campos said. “It’s really fun.”

In addition to interacting with fans, Campos said he enjoys chatting with visiting players from his post near the road team's bullpen.

“I get to talk with them about the weather and how their season is going,” Campos said. “Since they’re on the road, we get to talk about the best food spots in Phoenix, too.”
