A funny thing happened to Joba on the way to Trenton
When the Yankees traded reliever Chad Qualls for infielder Casey McGehee on Tuesday, New York had a little problem on its hands. It was down a relief pitcher and McGehee was in Chicago with his former club, the Pirates. Meanwhile, Joba Chamberlain was scheduled to pitch in Trenton for the Yankees' Double-A club, but that was not meant to be.

When Joba finally got to Yankee Stadium, he received quite the warm welcome from the fans. He even received a special roll call from the Bleacher Creatures at the start of the 3rd inning.
