A coleslaw-smothered crab cake edged out a grilled cheese hot dog for best food in the Minors

Phillies affiliate wins best food in the Minor Leagues

Minor League Baseball recently held its annual Food Fight -- a competition in which fans can vote on their favorite ballpark treats. Sixty items were entered this year, and on Thursday, the Lakewood BlueClaws (a Phillies Class A affiliate) and their Triple C crab cake were crowned the winners. You can see it in all its saucy glory above.

But what did the Triple C beat? Here are the four items that finished behind it. You can start drooling ... now.

Grilled Cheese Hot Dog - Round Rock Express (Rangers)

Your eyes do not deceive you. That is a hot dog wrapped in a grilled cheese sandwich.

Champ Burger - Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals)

Champ

Nothing like a good old burger, with three juicy patties, and three different types of cheese, and a layer of thick ham steak ...

Memphis Meets Mexico Juarez Dog - El Paso Chihuahuas (Padres)

The Chihuahuas mix Mexico (bacon-wrapped hot dog) with Texas (pulled pork, dill pickles, coleslaw) into a dish that'll probably keep you full for months after you eat it.

Big Apple - Fort Wayne TinCaps (Padres)

And now, some dessert. This is five pounds of apple crisp, apple dumplings, apple slices, ice cream, whipped cream and caramel. This is life.
