Alex Rodriguez gets to work on his spiral as he plays catch with his childhood idol, Dan Marino
A-Rod plays catch with his childhood idol, Dan Marino
Alex Rodriguez is a wildly talented baseball player, but those skills didn't necessarily transfer over to the football field. After all, Rodriguez promptly broke a TV monitor while hanging out at FOX's NFL pregame show.

A-Rod got to work on those skills with someone who should be plenty helpful: NFL Hall of Famer and former Isotoner gloves salesman, Dan Marino.

Given that Rodriguez calls Miami home, it makes sense that he would look up to Marino. Brought together by an upcoming piece for Yankees Magazine, it looks like Marino gave him some useful pointers on throwing a spiral.

We can only hope that A-Rod returned the favor by limiting the amount of "Laces out, Dan" jokes he made.
