All-Star Twitter fail turns Michael Jeter into the new Adele Dazeem

Tuesday night marked Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter's 14th and final All-Star Game. Jeets nearly robbed Andrew McCutchen of a single in the top of the first and later went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored before being lifted for Alexei Ramirez of the White Sox.

The Target Field crowd gave The Captain a fitting ovation as he took a bow and left the All-Star Game for the last time. The folks at CBS News honored Jeter by getting his name wrong on Twitter.

Whoever was running the @CBSNews feed during the 2014 All-Star Game spent the rest of the evening trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube while the rest of the Internet took Michael Jeter and ran with it. Below, you'll find the fruit of their labor.
