An injured Jeff Kent brought his son to throw the first pitch for him at Minute Maid Park
Jeff Kent brought his son, Kaeden, to throw out the first pitch at Minute Maid Park as part of the Astros' latest Flashback Friday celebration.
The nine-year-old son stepped in after Kent sustained an injury a few weeks ago.
“I had four busted ribs and a punctured lung that I am just recovering from. He’ll probably do a better job than I can,” Five-time All-Star and 2000 NL MVP said.
According to Kent, he didn't suffer the injury while filming the the latest season of Survivor.
“I can’t say a whole lot because the season airs next week,” Kent said. “It was quite an experience. I was happy to have that opportunity.”
The second baseman also spoke about how he enjoyed his time in Houston and how he's looking forward to the team's move to the AL West.
