Andy Pettitte's scouting report on Boone Logan leads to RBI (for Army)

When the Yankees take on Army, America wins. One team is a group of well-respected men with a winning pedigree and national fan base, while the other team is the New York Yankees. It might seem as though the Black Knights were at a disadvantage, what with the Yankees having 27 rings and all, but Army had the ability to compete in the game thanks to tremendous talent, aluminum bats and an excellent scouting report from Andy Pettitte.

When Army outfielder Jon Crucitti asked the Core Four starter for a quick heads-up as to the arsenal of Yankee reliever Boone Logan, Pettitte was more than happy to oblige. "92 to 94, probably, with a good slider," Pettitte told the young cadet. Although the report was brilliantly concise, it did the trick, helping Crucitti knock an RBI single off Logan.

Normally it's not a good idea to give the opposing squad advice on how to beat your team, but when the opponent is the US Army, I think we can give Pettitte a pass, particularly when the Yanks went on to win 10-5 anyway.
