Angel Stadium celebrates Armed Forces Day

The Angels and State Farm partnered to pay tribute to the U.S. Military for Armed Forces Day at Angel Stadium on Saturday. Multiple military vehicles were on display outside the stadium, which also hosted a WWII aircraft flyover.

The first pitch was delivered by veteran GySgt. Paul McQuigg, a 16-year Marine who was medically retired after being wounded in combat. Sgt. Ryan McIntosh, who plays for the Purple Heart Wounded Warriors' baseball team, pronounced the honorary "Play Ball!" A local Gold Star child who lost a parent in combat served as honorary bat boy.
Fans enjoyed a Camo Hat giveaway, and players for both the Angels and White Sox donned camo jerseys and camo caps with their respective team logos.
