MLB's invasion by bats (the flying mammal kind) continued in Minneapolis on Friday

One instance can be random. Two can be coincidence. But three in 10 days? I think it's clear we're dealing with a full-blown trend by now.

First it was Pittsburgh, then Atlanta, now Minneapolis: How soon will it be before bats invade every MLB stadium? Can these flying menaces be stopped from staring down players and making them flinch on the field of play, as happened to Doug Bernier on Friday?

And more importantly: WHY are they suddenly appearing? Are they simply, as was suggested before, heading toward spots that they hear there are other "bats"? Or is some sort of more nefarious conspiracy afoot?
