Arizona Cardinals' No. 1 pick Jonathan Cooper throws D-backs first pitch
It's been a whirlwhind 48 hours for 23-year-old Jonathan Cooper. He flew to New York City, where he became the seventh overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, then flew across the country to Phoenix to toss the ceremonial first pitch at a D-backs game. Cooper threw a strike straight into the glove of Patrick Corbin.
The 311-pound UNC guard says he's excited to get started with the Cardinals. But first, he'll have to make it through a scorching desert summer. Good luck with that, Coop.
