Asdrubal Cabrera's five-year-old son is a better fielder than you are

Five-year-old Meyer Cabrera fielded some grounders for Cleveland bench coach Sandy Alomar, Jr. before Saturday's Indians-Royals game. The shortstop-in-training's skill with a glove -- and impressive arm -- undoubtedly make dad Asdrubal proud. If he's this good at five, Cut4's proprietary mathematical formulas tell us that, by the time he's 20, he'll be ... really, really good.

Could there be a baseball gene? After all, Papa Cabrera completed only the 14th unassisted triple play in MLB history. Alomar, too, has baseball in his blood. The former All-Star catcher's brother is Hall of Fame second baseman Roberto Alomar, and Sandy Sr. is a 15-year veteran of the Majors.

This isn't fair. The only traits reliably passed down in my family are bad eyesight and high cholesterol. Thanks for nothing, ancestors.
