This is what a 90 mph fastball can do to your face

Delino DeShields Jr. is a prospect in the Astros system, currently playing for the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks. After being hit by a pitch in the seventh inning of a game against the Frisco RoughRiders on Friday night, he was taken to the hospital, after which he sent the following image to his friend Tanner Case, who tweeted it:
Shoutout to my brother for taking a 90mph fastball to the face like a champ. Looking good Delilah @LinoDeShields pic.twitter.com/Gy1kGakEKE

Houston GM Jeff Luhnow said on Saturday that DeShields sustained a non-displaced fracture. Though he should be out at least a few weeks, he was released from the hospital on Saturday and is resting with no problems other than the swelling.
