All-Star food reviews: Bigger, Better, Burger, Brat, or Bacon Bloody Mary
All-Star food reviews: Bigger, Better, Burger, Brat, or Bacon Bloody Mary

Last week, Cut4 brought you a sneak preview of Target Field's special All-Star menu. But with Minneapolis' Midsummer Classic festivities now in full swing, it's time to investigate further -- for science! See also: The Bratdog | Kramarczuk's Double Play
What is it?
A full meal in a glass: the classic bloody -- vodka, tomato juice and a whole bunch of spices -- garnished with your choice of snack on a stick. The slider option is most popular at Target Field, but the bacon is actually the most fitting for a classic breakfast cocktail and the bratwurst is definitely the most Minnesotan.
Special features?
If the burger/bacon/brat isn't enough to fill you up, there's also a garnish stick with an olive, cheese cube, sausage link and pepperoncini. And if the bloody mary doesn't quench your booze thirst, every BBBBorBBM comes with a an eight-ounce side beer.

How does it taste?
Full disclosure: I didn't try it. Even in the lawless Wild West of writing baseball jokes on the internet, drankin' on the job is somewhat frowned upon. But I did ask several consumers to describe the flavor profile and received answers including "tangy," "refreshing" and "kinda like gazpacho with vodka." So ... promising? Also, most people added hot sauce.
Recommended delivery method?
To quote the immortal Freak Nasty: When I dip, you dip, we dip. Whether your sustenance selection is bacon, burger or brat, you're dealing with a food item that only improves with a healthy dousing of ketchup. Like ketchup, a bloody mary is salty and tomato based. So dunk, eat and repeat.

Is it an example of authentic Upper Midwest cuisine?
Although creative breakfast cocktails are hardly exclusive to the region, the Upper Midwest does have a storied history of creative bloody mary garnishes. If anything, the BBBBorBBM skews toward large snack compared to some of the five-course tasting menus we've seen skewered on glasses in the past.
