Baseball Card of the Day: Jay wants to be a Baller, shot-caller, brawler

Player: Jay Baller, Chicago (NL)

Series: 1988 Topps

Though his career probably did not let him dip in a Benz with the spoilers, Baller did play parts of six seasons for the Phillies, Cubs and Royals. The 6-foot-6 reliever was involved in a big trade in 1982, going from Philadelphia to Cleveland along with four other players in exchange for Von Hayes.

But what we appreciate him most for is this ballerific card featuring two gold chains and a majestic mustache. At least when it came to card photography, this is one MLB player who definitely lived up to his name.
