Beard Hat Night a hit for both fans and players
The Mariners had one of the more creative promotional giveaways in recent memory on Friday night, as they held their first ever "Beard Hat Night." The first 20,000 fans to walk through the gates of Safeco Field received a free beard hat, which is exactly what it sounds like.
The beard hat (pictured below) was quite a sight to see on the thousands of fans at the park, but it didn't stop there. Members of the Mariners bullpen posed for fans while wearing the hats as starting pitcher Aaron Harang warmed up just prior to the game.
