Billy Crystal joined Robin Williams' kids for Game 5's ceremonial first pitch
Giants honor Robin Williams' family before Game 5
When Robin Williams passed away in August, the Giants lost one of their most dedicated and vocal fans. To honor his memory, as the team finds itself in the midst of the World Series against the Royals, the Giants brought in some help to start off Game 5: Williams' children and his long-time friend Billy Crystal.
Following a tribute video to their father -- including some of his most memorable scenes from television, film, and stand-up -- Zak, Zelda and Cody Williams threw out the ceremonial first pitch with Crystal catching.
And then Crystal, who honored Williams himself with a tribute at the Emmys earlier this year, got on the mic and began pumping up the San Francisco crowd with a little help from Williams himself -- by way of a video of Williams shouting "Play Ball!" at AT&T Park in 2010.
We're pretty sure Williams would have been quite pleased with the Giants performance tonight: a 5-0 win over the Royals, giving them a 3-2 advantage in the series.
