Billy Hamilton beats shift with PERFECT bunt down the right-field line

Hamilton beats shift with PERFECT bunt to right field

Reds rookie outfielder Billy Hamilton is mostly known for his wheels. He tags and scores on infield popups, beats out routine ground balls for singles, moves from first-to-third on bunts and scores pretty much any time you blink.

On Tuesday night, the Padres were wary of Hamilton's speed (and his bunting ability), so they brought the first and third basemen way in during Hamilton's third inning at bat. Hamilton looked at the odd defensive arrangement in front of him and decided to bunt anyway ... but managed to do so out into shallow right field.

Hamilton later stole second but was eventually stranded at third base. The Reds didn't seem to mind though as they beat the Padres 8-2.
