Billy the Marlin takes Manhattan, solemnly visits downtown fish market
Billy the Marlin visits NYC, sees people eating fish
It's no secret that New York City is one of the most exciting places to spend a few days on vacation. The sights, the sounds, the smells, the cabbies honking at you for not crossing at a green light fast enough ...
For reals, though, it's a fantastic place to spend a few days off. So, when the Marlins made the trip to the Big Apple for a two-game stint with the Yankees, Billy the Marlin was not gonna miss out on the fun and joined them on the road.
Unfortunately, in addition to interacting with tourists, Billy also had to witness humans consuming the flesh of his fallen comrades when he visited the Chelsea fish market.
Billy wasn't too scarred by the experience, thankfully -- he continued his goodwill tour by visiting the High Line and urging fans to vote for Giancarlo Stanton and Dee Gordon to start the 2015 MLB All-Star Game in Cincinnati.
We hear ya, Billy. We hear ya.
