Pigeons interrupt Royals and Rays
Just days after a pitcher for Class A Fort Wayne did his best Randy Johnson impression and blasted a bird with a breaking ball near home plate, it appears that the avian community is still trying its luck with loitering in and and around the field of play.
The Royals and Rays were in the top of the second at Tropicana Field when a cluster of pigeons popped down onto the field near first base, either to heckle Mike Moustakas at the plate or give the broadcast crew something to talk about.
