Watch Blake Griffin take batting practice at Dodger Stadium and ALMOST mash a home run
Blake Griffin ALMOST hit a homer during Dodgers BP
I have this dream that for one day every year, all of the world's athletes switch sports. Think about it: MLB's top athletes like Bryce Harper and Yasiel Puig laying waste to soccer pitches and tennis courts, LeBron James and Serena Williams doing damage on the diamond. Doesn't that sound magical?
Which is why it's positively wonderful when non-MLB athletes drop by MLB ballparks for batting practice. Enter Los Angeles Clipper Blake Griffin, one of the athletes who should be on anyone's cross-sport wish list, taking BP at Dodger Stadium this weekend.
The Lob City star met Justin Turner during a charity event and set up the visit that included BP and a tour of the stadium. Now that the NBA season is in its offseason, Griffin stopped by with his brother ahead of the Dodgers' game against the Mets on Friday. And he almost -- ALMOST -- hit a home run.
This was definitely a home run swing, though:
Don't forget, Griffin can also fire off strikes. Now that's what we call a two-way prospect.
