The Blue Jays went to a Maple Leafs game and got a standing ovation

Based on the strength of the "Let's Go Blue Jays" chant at Air Canada Centre on Wednesday night, you'd be forgiven for thinking that you were watching a rare game of ice baseball.

As amazing as that would have (and has) been, it was just the way the crowd at the Maple Leafs' season opener greeted Marcus Stroman, LaTroy Hawkins, Russell Martin and other Blue Jays who were in attendance:

They got a standing ovation from the fans and the Leafs even put together a tribute video for them:

Two teams supporting each other, how nice! Well, except for Marting and reliever Liam Hendriks, who are both fans of the Montreal Canadiens, the Leafs' most serious rival:

Martin decided to go non-committal and wear no team insignia, but Hendriks boldly wore a Canadiens T-shirt and cap right into the heart of enemy territory. Because supporting each other is great and all, but every human being has his limits.
