Blue Jays' winning streak inspires postseason anthem
The Blue Jays' 11-game winning streak has Canada feeling things. Russell Martin has taken to giving the audience parkour demonstrations during games. Jose Bautista laughed in the face of Wade Davis' homerless streak. Kevin Pillar keeps flying. And, fans can't get enough -- they're showing up to Rogers Centre in droves to witness the team lay waste to the competition.
And now, with sights on their first postseason since 1993 -- the year they won their last World Series championship -- the Blue Jays have become sonic muses:
"We wanna party like it's 1993," the Vancouver-based band Isotopes sing on the self-explanatory track "Let's Go Blue Jays," premiered by Exclaim on Thursday. Clearly, the self-proclaimed "World's Greatest Baseball Punk Band" is excited about the Jays' first-place standing in the American League East.
