Bronson Arroyo, flip phone owner, is not a fan of change
Pitchers are notorious creatures of habit, but D-backs free agent acquisition Bronson Arroyo really takes it to another level.
When asked about showing up at a new Spring Training facility after spending eight seasons with the Reds, Arroyo told reporters just how sentimental he really is:
''I'm a routine freak. I'm wearing 1999 Kenny Lofton shoes in the game still. I'm still pitching with the glove that I've had since the World Series in '04 and I'm still carrying a flip phone.''
But hey, the dude's been pitching successfully for 14 seasons -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Except for the cornrows, that is.
