Ryan Braun is the latest player to learn the hard way that Bryce Harper has a cannon for an arm

Hey, did you know that Bryce Harper can throw a baseball really hard and really far? On Saturday, Harper put that skill on display when he fired an absolute frozen rope to home plate and just missed catching Jonathan Lucroy trying to tag and score.

You'd think that that kind of display of raw throwing power would act as a deterrent for runners who might flirt with the idea of taking an extra base on the Nationals phenom. 

Yeah, you'd think that, wouldn't you?

On Sunday, Ryan Braun cranked a hit to deep right field and had his sights set on a double. Harper, though, played the bounce off the wall, turned and fired one of the patented strikes in to catch Braun in the act:

That's a valuable lesson learned.
