Bryce Harper's girlfriend scores winning goal for BYU
Bryce Harper had a pretty decent 2012. He was named Rookie of the Year, helped his Nats get to the postseason and even started his own "clown question" clothing line.
But did he score an eighth and deciding penalty kick in an overtime win to advance the BYU Cougars into the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament? No, but his girlfriend, Kayla Varner, did.
The BYU sophomore and two-time high school player of the year accomplished the feat on Sunday, making her and Harper one of the most talented couples in all the land. That's right, Nomar Garciaparra and Mia Hamm.
