Buzz the Tower: Will Rhymes Edition

Anderson: People have been saying you're a Sam Fuld lookalike, but you actually have an identical twin brother. What does he think about this? Is Jonathan [Rhymes] being replaced?
Rhymes: No, no. Well, I haven't talked to him about it, but no. No one could replace my brother, he's a pretty awesome dude.

But can he play baseball?
Yeah, he's a good baseball player actually, he played in college.

Has he seen you play yet this year?
He hasn't yet; I used to see him last year every time we played Oakland, he'd come up.

Are you guys identical twins?
We're actually not tested, so I don't know the answer to that. We were born six weeks premature, so my parents didn't want more tests done, so I don't know for sure. But we look exactly alike.

Would I confuse the two of you?
Yes. Well, it depends on if he has a beard and stuff, the length of his hair.

Speaking of hair, you refer to yours not as a 'business in the front, party in the back' mullet, but rather just 'party in the front and party in the back.' Is this correct?
It's a party all the way around. The front is as long as the back, so it's definitely a party all around.

You played on your middle school basketball team with Hornets center Emeka Okafor -- are your basketball skills on par with his?
(Laughs) Oh my gosh, no, I was terrible. I think I shot, like, three times the entire season. I really wasn't good, I don't know why I made the team.

You've had a couple of great managers with Jim Leyland and now Joe Maddon. How has that been for you?
It's been awesome. Two very different styles, like polar opposites. I've been lucky, obviously, two of the greatest managers in the game.

And final question: Can you rap, Mr. Rhymes?
(Laughs) No … no, well, I haven't really tried.
