Cain's first career grand slam nets Royals fan $25,000
When Lorenzo Cain launched his first career grand slam on Thursday, someone 20 miles away was screaming for joy. Cain's big fly came during the "Sonic Slam Inning" as part of a promotion through FOX Sports Kansas City and the Royals Radio Network resulting in a $25,000 pay-day for fan Debbie Hassed.
It was only the third $25,000 "Sonic Slam Inning" win, and the first since 2004. Hassed wasn't done winning however. George Kottaras also homered, and Hassed won an additional $100. She was presented with her winning check at Kauffman Stadium on Friday night, by none other than her new favorite player.
