Ah, the butcher boy -- that time-honored trick designed to pull the defense in with the expectation of a bunt, before pulling back and hitting one right past them. It's worked before, and A's second baseman Eric Sogard thought he could pull it off during Thursday's game against the Astros

Sogard made one critical mistake, though: He tried to hit a ball over Carlos Gomez's head, and we're pretty sure that's a physical impossbility:

Not only does he range from practically behind the second-base bag to the warning track, but he has to twist, slide to the ground and locate the ball over his shoulder all in one motion. Here's another, even more ridiculous angle:

Given that Kevin Pillar has already proven he has the ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound, he and Gomez are halfway to forming some sort of center-field Superman
