Casey Janssen proposed to his girlfriend while they were skydiving

The Rays' Alex Cobb set a high bar for proposal creativity by AL East pitchers in 2014 when he popped the question with the help of a dolphin. But Blue Jays closer Casey Janssen executed an equally elaborate plan, proposing to girlfriend Lauren Spear while she hurtled several thousand feet toward the earth in free-fall.

Janssen jumped first on their couples skydiving adventure, allowing him to greet Spear on bended knee in the drop zone. A huge three-piece sign reading, "Lauren will you marry me?" provided time for her to mull it over while slowly drifting toward Earth:

Luckily for Janssen, Spear responded in the affirmative while still wearing her parachute harness. Congratulations, Casey and Lauren!
