Charlie Blackmon is recruiting his Rockies teammates to grow beards

While Charlie Blackmon may have had his best professional season last year, setting career highs in homers (19) and steals (28), his biggest contribution may have been to the world of men's fashion thanks to his thick, bushy, beautiful beard. 

At Rockies Fest, Blackmon was asked if he had convinced any teammates to join him in his woodsman's clan. Turns out, teamate Ben Paulsen, who had hammered four home runs in his first 66 Major League plate appearances last season, is taking part. Not only that, but Paulsen may have taken the lead. 

Personally though, no matter how much I love beards (and I do love them), I'm not sure I'll be impressed until someone shows up to Spring Training with one of these:
