Chelsey Desmond, Ian's wife, talks raising kids, moving cities and life of a baseball mom

Chelsey Desmond has known her husband, Ian, since elementary school. She dated him in junior high, visited him while he played for the Class A Potomac Nationals, cried through demotions and cheered when the shortstop finally made it to the bigs in 2009.

On Friday, in honor of Mother's Day weekend, the Washington Post interviewed Mrs. Desmond on what it's like to raise kids with the possibility of trades, free agency and Ian on the road for much of the summer/fall.
