Cliff Pennington bunted and wound up on third
Cliff Pennington laid down a bunt in the eighth inning of the D-backs' 7-3 win over the Rockies on Saturday that plated two runs and left him standing on third base.
Wait, what? Is this some sort of new-fangled magic bunting? Has Pennington discovered the stuffed-crust pizza version of bunting?
Well, that can't be ruled out conclusively, but Pennington did receive some significant help from the Rockies' Wilin Rosario:

Walt Weiss seemed less than enthused.
With the D-backs up, 4-3, and looking for insurance runs with runners on first and third, Pennington threw down a squeeze bunt. Rosario fielded the ball from first and thought about throwing it to home plate before turning around and tossing it back to first in an attempt to nab Pennington. Except no one was covering.
So, while the ball rolled into foul territory in right, Arizona racked up two more runs and Pennington hustled over to third. It was ruled a bunt single and an error -- Pennington couldn't have done it without Rosario.
