Clint Robinson falls victim to the sun's omnipotence, misses fly ball

Occasionally, when one is playing baseball professionally, something may arise that makes it difficult to perform one's job to the best of one's abilities. Occasionally, that something is the burning sphere of helium and hydrogen 93 million miles away from Earth.

Clint Robinson was manning right field for the Nationals in the eighth inning of their game against the Mets Saturday afternoon when a pop fly was hit his way. Robinson moved into position under the ball and then … it was consumed by the blinding glare of the sun's rays. The ball plopped to the ground to Robinson's right as he shielded himself from getting hit.

Considering the sun tends to be rather bright in Florida, you can't blame him one bit.

If only the sun wasn't everywhere
