Cognitive dissonance of the day: Matt Kemp decked out in San Francisco [49ers] gear

Matt Kemp grew up in Oklahoma, a state that is solidly in support of the Cowboys, one of the 49ers' classic rivals. Today he plies his trade in Los Angeles, a city that competes with San Francisco in all manner of cultural arenas, with the rivalry between his Dodgers and the Giants being high up the list.
None of that stops him from supporting the Niners, whom Kemp has rooted for since childhood. He's tweeted about the team before, and on Super Bowl Sunday, Lakers scout and former 49ers (and Cowboys) cheerleader Bonnie-Jill Laflin tweeted the above picture.
While seeing Kemp covered in San Francisco gear is a little strange, it's hard to blame the man for rooting for his favorite team. Would it be fair to say, though, that this would be a lot more awkward if Los Angeles still had an NFL team?
