Colby Rasmus' bat vs. Johnny Cueto's dilly-dally is the epic postseason showdown of your dreams
Game 5 showdown: Rasmus' bat vs. Cueto's dilly-dally
They say that everything is bigger in Texas and that's never been truer than Colby Rasmus' 2015 postseason. In the time it took you read that first sentence, Rasmus probably homered two more times.
Seriously, though, Rasmus has hit four homers in the Astros' first five postseason games this season, including a first-inning blast off Johnny Cueto in Game 2. On Wednesday night, he'll look to add to that total as he and the 'Stros again face Cueto and the Royals at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City for Game 5 of the ALDS at 8 p.m. ET on FS1.
Rasmus and Cueto aren't exactly strangers. They've been facing each other since A-ball, and they're so familiar with each other that Rasmus has even taken the liberty of nicknaming the little shimmy Cueto often mixes into his pitching motion.
He calls it "The Dilly-Dally."
For his part, Cueto is confident he and the shimmy can withstand the potency of the Astros lineup (and the roll that Rasmus is on).
Oh, and Cueto has his own nickname for the shimmy. He calls it "La Mesadora," which is Spanish for "The Rocking Chair."
