Cole Hamels: pitcher, philanthropist, amateur security force

As someone who graduated with a degree in theater, I can tell you that it takes the rare performer to show this level of dedication to a comic bit.

Cole Hamels somehow came across a Boston Police Department vest (LAX pinnie?). Immediately upon donning the reflective yellow chemise, Hamels transformed into some sort of bizarre authority figure, protecting Phillies coach Mick Billmeyer and the rest of the dugout from harm and mischief.

It wasn't all laughs for Officer Hamels, however. At around the 1:10 mark, he laid down the law, unleashing a mighty shush unto his teammates and going all Boston's Finest on them.

Honestly, he wears it well. It looks like someone found himself a nice off-season gig.
