Seager's HS team breaks news of his Dodgers call-up
2015 may already be remembered as the Year of the Prospect(s), but amazingly, one of the most coveted of them all remained in the Minor Leagues -- Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager, a first-round pick in the 2012 Draft and MLB.com's current No. 2 prospect.
But rejoice, for the day has finally come: L.A. has called Seager up to the Show before their series against the Padres. The baseball world has been waiting for this day for a long time now, so naturally the news was broken by the plugged-in reporter known as ... uh, Northwest Cabarrus High School?
Former Trojan star Corey Seager was called up to the Show. He will meet the Dodgers in San Diego. Congrats Corey! #TrojanPride

Yes, Corey Seager's alma mater -- a school of about 1,800 located in Concord, North Carolina -- really did fire off the first tweet announcing the move. Apparently Twitter insider John Axford has given baseball media back to the people.
