Cubs to kick off 2015 season with first ever home opener at night
Cubs to play first ever home opener at night

Set your calendars and DVRs or book your plane tickets because the kickoff game for Opening Day has been announced. On April 5 at 7:05 p.m. CT, the Cardinals will head to Chicago to take on the Cubs in the official start to the Major League Baseball season.
While that's plenty exciting already, get ready for this one: it will be the first time the Cubs home opener will be played at night in the history of the franchise. And it couldn't come at a better time.
With the entire baseball world tuned into a single game, the Cubs will get to show off the new renovations they've made to Wrigley Field, their brand new manager (who will probably have a few things up his sleeve for Opening Day), and the shoes that Kris Bryant could be wearing should he make the Major League roster.
Oh yeah, there's also the dingers you'll see flying out to Waveland Avenue off the bat of Jorge Soler:

Opening Day: Only 141 days to go.
